Good morning friends! Happy Friday!
Grab your cup of coffee and enjoy your morning with the Lord!
Today's scripture tells us to...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
This can be so difficult to do when we are new to our journey with God or even when the enemy tries to take us down. It's difficult to trust that the Lord will sustain us and fulfill us when we are amidst storms and trials of life, to be right in the thick of it.
How can we trust someone or something when we can't even see it? How can we trust when nothing seems to be going right?
Trust is to have faith. It is knowing, not just believing, that everything is working out in God's perfect timing and in His ways. To have faith is to risk everything, but in a good way. It's getting away from the evil of the world, it's getting away from idolizing society's "gods", and it's the KNOWING that even the storms are bringing you closer to God and bringing you closer to His ways and promises.
Take this with you today. Where are you not trusting God? Where are you relying solely on yourself? What are you trying so very hard to control? Surrender the storms, surrender the control, surrender the expectation of people, surrender your heart, and surrender your life to Him. Trust Him. Find understanding in Him. Learn in Him. Work in Him. Lead in Him. Hope in Him.
Most importantly KNOW and BELIEVE with all your heart and soul that He is good, that He will fulfill you, that He will fix whatever path you're on, and that He'll calm any storm that you face.
