Welcome to Day 2- Intentional Wellness!
When it comes to living a healthy life, we focus on "I have to lose x amount of weight", "I have to look like that Instagram model in that bikini", "I have to be on this new fad diet and exercise x amount of hours per day", and "cut my calories down to 500 per day" in order to look good, look healthy, etc.
Hands up if you ever had those thoughts or done those things. It makes you feel drained and sluggish, and just overall not good.
Have you ever wondered why you feel like this and why nothing ever works?
It's because you're comparing yourself to others. Most importantly, you're not checking in with yourself, especially with God. It's time to do a heart check, darling.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. ~ 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
All food has energy. How do you want to feel?
I want you to notice how everything you eat and drink makes you feel. Does it make you feel sluggish and tired all the time? Or does it make you feel energized and ready to tackle your day?
Dairy, sweets, sugar, coffee, gluten, certain meats, fast food and alcohol probably make you feel gross. Yep, been there. So if it makes you feel gross and tired, why are you giving it to your body?
I want you to FEEL the energy of the food and drinks you consume, and cut out where necessary.
I want you to allow God to FILL you up with His love and with all of His sources of nourishment He provides to us daily. (Fruits, veggies, essential oils, herbal remedies, etc.)
Slowly cut the foods out of your daily diet that don't make you feel good. Switch to organic, farm or home grown, and holistic.
God has blessed your beautiful soul with a beautiful body and you have the choice to nourish it or destroy it. And on a second note, stop comparing yourself to someone else! You're perfect the way you are, embrace your uniqueness!
